The Hawaiian Paniolo Heritage has a special and unique meaning to the people of Hawaii. This is Hawaii's "cowboy culture". It is widely respected by the people of Hawaii and also greatly cherished. The paniolo's, which are skilled cowboys, have contributed numerous things to the local culture. Some of these things included the guitar and ukulele, and a lifestyle of hard work. and the importance of a tight-knit family unit. Music is also a big contribution from the paniolo's. Because of their hard work and dedication, Hawaii has the largest privately owned stock ranch in the United States.
The Miss Rodeo Hawaii title will enable me to continue promoting the positive image of rodeo. I believe it's important for people to be aware of how much Hawaii's history is preserved in the sport of rodeo. I would like to have the future of Hawaii to have the opportunity to come together and learn from each other and their experiences. I love the fact that rodeo is a family sport: my mother was involved in High School Rodeo and my father was also the announcer. Rodeo teaches responsibility, compassion, and sportsmanship.

Thanks to such a successful year, Miss Rodeo Hawaii 2009, Ashley L. Borsum, was able to provide the newly crowned Miss Rodeo Hawaii 2010 with a new crown, buckle, and sash! The 2009 and 2010 MRH crown and buckle were designed by Miss Rodeo Hawaii 2009 and Morag Miranda.
